We can have fellowship--a relationship with Jesus Christ.
We have the Holy Spirit and His Word. They bear witness to the Word of Life. They saw God in the flesh.
life: Christ’s life, the eternal life. (1 John 1, 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us).
God is the giver of life. We can be quickened again. We still have this sinful body. It is a battle.
God created Adam and breathed His Spirit into him. God created body, soul, and spirit.
When Adam sinned, he was separated from God. He spiritually died. That is why Christ died that we may have eternal life. (Genesis 2, 7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul).
Ephesians 2, And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Christ is Paul’s life. We have been bought with a price. (Philippians 1, 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain).
We crucify the flesh continually. We die to ourselves to reflect Christ. Anything we do without Christ is garbage. We are to walk by the Spirit. (Galatians 2, 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me).
I must decrease. Jesus Christ must increase. (John 3, 30 He must increase, but I must decrease).
