Jude Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Jude 1-2, Greeting.

Jude 3, The Call.  Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Beloved: All those who are moved unconditionally; loved by God.

common: We share a common salvation together; a common source of God’s love.

John 3, 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10, 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 3, 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 6, 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ  our Lord.

Galatians 3, 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male  nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

We all come to God ground zero, (Hebrews 10, 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching).

God’s time piece is Israel.

Jude 3, The Call.  Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

contend: athletic one; to agonize; hard and diligent work. We are on the battlefield.

1 Timothy 6, 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

2 Timothy 4, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Ephesians 6, 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against  powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in  high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to            withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your  loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your  feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of   faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all   perseverance and supplication for all saints.

once: once and for all. His Word is steadfast. (Jude 3, The Call. Beloved, when I gave all  diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints).
