The Trinity in Salvation:
Ephesians 1:1-6: God the Father; Ephesians 1:7-12: God the Son; Ephesians 1:13-14: God the Holy Spirit.
praise of his glory: God saved us for His glory. He wants us to praise Him. (Ephesians 1, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Ephesians 2, 1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience).
workmanship: a masterpiece. We are to be a living testimony for Christ. We should walk our talk. (Ephesians 2, 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them).
This is ongoing trust that alters our life. Once we trust Jesus as Savior, we are different--a new creature in Christ [a noticeable change]. The sanctification process is ongoing. (Ephesians 1, 12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ).
Explains the way God saves. The Gospel is preached. The Holy Spirit draws the lost and convicts them. One is saved when they believe with their heart and confess. (Ephesians 1, 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise. Romans 10, 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 4, 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead).
The Holy Spirit: We are under new ownership as a Christian.
