perfecting: strengthening. (Ephesians 4, 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ).
The Church is not to be run like a business.
Every person in the church needs to exercise their gifts.
Pastors feed the sheep. It takes study and prayer for the pastor to feed himself and then feed the church. The emphasis is on the Word of God.
edifying: to build up. It is not about numbers but quality. (Ephesians 4, 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ).
unity of the faith: built on God’s Word. (Ephesians 4, 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ).
One faith. (Ephesians 4, 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism).
The Word stands on the Word.
perfect: maturing; Christlike. (Ephesians 4, 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ).
