Love unto all the saints. (Ephesians 1, ¹⁵ Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints).

Thanks and prayers. (Ephesians 1, ¹⁶ Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers).

understanding: inner part of man; the heart. (Ephesians 1, ¹⁸ The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints).

enlightened: the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our teacher. This enlightenment comes from the Holy Spirit. Walk in the Spirit. We have His Spirit to enlighten us. (Ephesians 1, ¹⁸ The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints).

The Holy Spirit gives us the power to practice the truth. (1 Corinthians 2, ⁷ But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: ⁸ Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. ⁹ But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. ¹⁰ But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. ¹¹ For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. ¹² Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God). 

Matthew 13, ¹³ Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

And their eyes were opened. (Luke 24, ³¹ And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. ³² And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?).

John 16, ¹³ Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
