But They Have Not Learned Christ

Services

We walk after Christ. (2 Corinthians 5, 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new).

Romans 6, What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

We are to be like Christ--to reflect Him.

James 4, 4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

1 John 2, 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Our Christian life must go beyond head knowledge.

Grow in Christ. (Ephesians 4, 21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus).

1 John 2, 20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

Put off our former conduct. The Holy Spirit teaches us. (Ephesians 4, 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts).
