He is a God of order. His blood is precious. There is no atonement for sin without the blood.

blood: It represents life. He became sin for us. (Leviticus 17, 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. 2 Corinthians 5, 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him).

The purpose of the blood:

1) physical: The physical application of blood is that it is a fluid that flows through our whole body. It feeds us and takes our trash. It is needed for our life.

2) spiritual: The spiritual application of blood is cleansing.

1 John But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Ephesians 1, In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.

Colossians 1, 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.

Hebrews 9, 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

The provision of Christ:

1) maketh an atonement for the soul. Jesus was the creator and author of the sacrificial system. (Leviticus 17, 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul).

2) We cannot buy our redemption. God had a place at Calvary. God provided a Lamb--a Ram. His blood is precious. (Hebrews 9, 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. 1 Peter 1, 18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot).

Isaiah 59, But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Romans 5, But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

The power of the blood: In the Old Testament there was a constant sacrificing. When Jesus came, the old sacrificial system was done away with forever. (Hebrews 9, 24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation).

Blood converts the sinner. (2 Corinthians 5, 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new).
